Earlier this year my wife Jude and I decided to generally enclose our pergola area with a system of blinds that would create and enhance a lovely environment for entertaining, greatly reduce the UV aspect and significantly reduce the effects of wind and rain around the pergola area. In other words, create a more user friendly and comfortable area for family and friends without the sometimes annoying climatic factors which are often the cause for last minute function cancellations.
We went through the usual onsite investigations and quotations with several reputable companies we regarded as experienced in this area of outdoor living entertainment, as one does.
I would like to relate to you Sandy, as an Executive Officer, of your company, Bob Burns Blinds & Security, the following :-
(a) Your company was regarded by us as the best scenario to do this project when we considered price, experience, mannerism and attitude and willingness to do some little extras by the person doing the job.
(b) Phil Burns demonstrated excellent knowledge and cooperation with us when performing the initial measuring up. His attitude, willingness to help, agree to little extras, which were important to us and the final quotation, which did involve a little healthy bartering by us, secured your company to do this project.
(c) The suggestion by Phil Burns to use Russell and his assistant Jim as the preferred installers, was as it turned out, a master stroke.
Sandy, this project had some complexities due to the configuration of the pergola posts and surrounding balustrade. The experience, ingenuity, professionalism and general attitude towards this task by Russell and Jim is to be highly commended. Thanks to Phil initially, this project was completed to the highest standards of quality assurance and co operation by all that were involved.

“Yesterday morning (31-03-2011) I had three roller shutters installed at my premises.
The installation team were mater of factual in the manner in which they went about their task at all times, but keeping me in the information loop with what I had to know and what to do when battery packs went to stand-by mode, etc. I was impressed with the placement of drop sheets to collect waste that was generated – a professional outlook.
As a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager for mining and exploration houses, I was further extremely impressed about the manner in which they went about capturing waste generated, particularly during the drilling process. Followed up; by a gentle verbal reminder about the possible hazards of walking around bare foot, in as much as while all efforts had been made to capture swarf, not every scarp had been captured.
If personnel on sites that I work at went about their HSE responsibilities such as your installation team, I would I feel and sleep much better at night. Could I please ask of you to pass on my thanks to the two individuals concerned, in a job very well done indeed.”
